The Pagan God/dess has both a masculine and feminine side.They worship the feminine side during the end of Winter to begging of Spring, end of Spring to begging of Summer, and end of Summer to begging of Fall.Pagans worship the feminine side because the belief is that the Goddess is first a young maiden, then a mature woman, and last an elder.They worship the masculine side during the end of Fall to begging of Winter, end of Winter to begging of Spring, and end of Spring to begging of Summer.Pagans worship the masculine side because the belief is that the God is first a young boy, then a mature man, and last an elder.Pagans believe that is how our seasons are changed.Spring brings us fertility and rebirth, that is why the God is a mature man and the Goddess is a young maiden, and onward the cycle continues.Now, how often have you seen that portrayed in the media?
In Catholicism and Christianity it is believed that God created earth on his own.However, in Paganism the beliefs are very similar to Greek mythology.They believe that there is a God for all different elements of nature; such as a God for Earth, Air, Fire, and Water.Just as in Catholicism and Christianity, Paganism believes in a place such as Heaven and reincarnation.The major difference is that Pagans do not believe in Hell, therefore the practice of Satanism in a false interpretation.Again, something else the media fails to show.Although, I will say that when it comes to Greek mythology or the stories of Catholicism and Christianity, the media does a fairly good job at producing a film.Could you imagine what the critics, let alone, the public would say if the media did poorly?

Many innocent individuals were accused of Witchcraft, "If they are accused of causing certain offenses, often of a vile nature such as child abuse or ritual murder." The most well known part of the Salem Witch Trials is when twelve girls accused a woman of Witchcraft and for placing a curse on them.Unfortunately, these accusations continued due to one girl whom accused anyone who did her wrong or did not believe her.All those who were accused, were sentenced to death by a hanging.Most accusations resulted in death by a hanging, stoned to death, or burned alive.Women who claimed they could predict the future or had premonitions from God, were counter argued as the devils bad deeds.Did you know that Joan of Ark was sentenced to death because she was accused of Witchcraft? She had premonitions of bringing her country together by winning many wars and crowning the soon to be King Henry.However, after the crowning, King Henry decide he no longer needed Joan of Arc and gave her to England were she sentenced to be burned alive.

To those child who do watch this program, I fear they interpret the art of Witchcraft as "a cool magic trick" that they see at the circus.Not only that, but sometimes the program gives the idea that if one wants chocolate cake now, with just a little "Abracadabra" and a snap of the fingers it shall appear! Sorry to burst their bubble, but once again the media has failed.
I guess what astonishes me most are the consumer products and advertisements.See many times a witch is symbolized by the looks of a gypsy; the long wavy hair, beautiful dramatic eyes, and jewelry on fingers, wrists, neck, and sometimes around the top of their head.Lately, models, especially in Teen magazines, that's how they dress.Even commercials for hair products, show models that look "Goddess-like", or someone who has a sixth-sense to be one with nature.Have you noticed that there is a new fad, that everyone is looking for "natural" products.It's like the website MotherNature.com, they sell all oils and Herb's to help remedy some health problems.You could even go out to you local mall and by incense such as Franckencents, which is used to help the respiratory system.There was once this store called Amphora that sold nothing but incense, candles, and oils.Now, talk about jammed in, that store was constantly full, but do you think that anyone would have thought of Witchcraft? Of course not.
