There is the belief that our creation can be explained by supernatural principles. This belief comes from the cosmological point of view. Then there is the belief quite similar to the cosmological belief. This belief comes from the teleological point of view stating that the creation of us is because of God.Neither of these beliefs fits my opinion of our creation.I believe that if you want the answer to our existence, you can look within us and will find it.Everything can be explained in life.I believe that the process of our creation is purely by natural forces and mechanistic principles without any contribution by God or other forms of supernatural principles.

The "Big Bang" theory presents us with a view that makes us believe that the beginning of our existence is not due to God but some scientific reasons.According to the models, which explain our universe as an ineffable explosion that created more than just the fundamental particles of life, which are matter and energy, but time and space. This theory very much appeals to me.There is just no room for teleological views nowadays with quantum mechanics explaining everything by science or eventually will be explained by future scientific discoveries.

The cosmological argument states that there is a beginning and before the beginning there are supernatural principles in the universe that are the reason for everything in existence. The supernatural principle is the theory of the unmoved-mover being the reason. Some people might comprehend the unmoved-mover as God.That is how the unmoved-mover appears to me as.Some people might think that God is the basis of our existence but that is not something I believe in.God didn't create us.He was just something we created in the midst of our questions about our existence to be explained. He was created because we couldn't find a significant answer for some questions. This is what I think why people created God besides it giving us inspiration.

It is just like how the watch example given by William Paley goes except I'll be taking it at a different approach. We couldn't say that the watch was placed on the ground just like how a rock was placed. We understood that it was not possible for the watch to be placed on the ground by itself because first of all, its nature doesn't belong on the ground whereas the rock naturally belongs on the ground. The excuse suitable for the rock cannot apply for the watch. Therefore we came up with another excuse. If nobody put the watch on the ground, then some supernatural being must have and that is how God is created by us.If nobody could have done the things that are in existence, if nobody can explain technically why every thing is the way they are then we use God as the explanation.

Aristotle never stated the unmoved-mover was God though. It is just the way I interpreted the unmoved-mover as in the end.I do believe in the existence of a chain that seems to go onto infinity but everything has a beginning and an end.We started off with a beginning of which is indefinable for us right now and we will end soon enough. This beginning though isn't created by a Creator or some sort.

The teleological argument states that there is a purpose in our design of the world and the universe. There is the existence of a goal-directed or end-directed process in the concept of our design. From the beginning of our existence, once we attained a form of intelligence, we began to make attempts to understand how we came to be and the purpose of the world in which we live in.Even though science has explained about the universe, the question of purpose is difficult to answer.Great minds like Aristotle and Paley have suggested this view but it is not the way I see things.

Evolution basically defies the idea of teleology.Evolution says that there is no purpose but just chance.Everything was just due to chance. The odds of life occurring is about 1 in a million chance or even more probably but it will happen. It doesn't seem reliable but nature works within itself, there is no necessity for supernatural principles acting as reasons just because there might not be an absolute proof.Evolution is about survival of the fittest and natural selection. These two aspects of evolution gives it no general purpose to state.Because evolution has no specific design to it, it defies the idea in teleology.

If you look around you, you will find things that have been created by an intelligent creator for a purpose. We have a glass created with a purpose so it could be used as an object for holding liquid substances. The creator of the glass was an intelligent being to come up with a design like that but that doesn't apply for the creation of the universe. It is not possible for some supernatural being or Creator who caused the particles to come together and explode like in the Big Bang theory. The universe is infinite and doesn't have a purpose in general.

Quantum physics has a law that allows things to happen sporadically. With the laws proposed by quantum physics, the idea of a creator with a design doesn't make sense anymore just like how the idea of having a purpose to the design doesn't compliment each other anymore.Since things can happen without any specific order, it wouldn't be following a specific design thus eliminating the belief of a creator with a design and since it doesn't matter what the result of things will be in quantum physics, it eliminates the belief that there is a purpose to a design since there was no design to begun with.

Given the misleading notion of the cosmological and the teleological argument compared to the advances of science in the past few decades in the areas of quantum mechanics for instance, a scientific materialist such as I find myself being able to agree that it is far-fetched to posit supernatural principles to determine nature's purpose or origin since everything can be explained without superfluous paranormal entities or forces.
